Chartered on August 25, 1938, Bluestone Federal Credit Union was originally started to offer not-for-profit financial services to the employees of the City of Sioux Falls. Over the years Bluestone Federal Credit Union’s field of membership has grown to encompass anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in 43 counties across Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota. Today Bluestone Federal Credit Union is a full service Credit Union with over 100 million in assets and 10,000+ members.
From our humble beginnings operating out of a closet in City Hall utilizing a cigar box as a cash drawer, our focus still remains the same today—our members!
