What is Care Committee?
Care Committee is a group of volunteer employees from Bluestone and CU Mortgage that discuss upcoming event in our community, plan volunteering events each quarter, and coordinate a bake sale and Giving Trees.

Bluestone made tie blankets in February and donated them to the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society and $100.

2024 Care Committee Volunteer Events
Quarter 1
Bluestone made tie blankets in February and donated them to Project Warm Up.
Quarter 2
Bluestone hosted a free event (Rescheduled) for the community and invited several non-profit groups out for the day. Non-profits in attendance included: The Foster Network, Big Paws Canine Foundation, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls, The Kitten League, Sioux Falls Area Humane Society, Midwest Street Medicine, & Be Smart.
Quarter 3
Bluestone volunteered at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls in September.
Quarter 4
Bluestone volunteered painting pumpkins for the Great Plain Zoo’s event called Zoo Boo Day in October.
Giving Tree
Bluestone collected gifts for Volunteers of America, Dakotas Spirit Tree initiative. We fulfilled 60 tags and a donation of $500.
2023 Care Committee Volunteer Events
Quarter 1
Bluestone made tie blankets in March and donated them to the Good Samaritan Society in Canton, SD.
Quarter 2
Bluestone volunteered at the Great Plain Zoo in June. We had the opportunity to paint and stain the fence over by the rhino exhibit.
Quarter 3
Bluestone volunteered at Faith Food Temple Giveaway in September.
Quarter 4
Bluestone volunteered at the Banquet-West in December.
