Community Involvement

Community Involvement

Community is at the heart of the Credit Union movement. During our 80+ year history, Bluestone FCU has been committed to supporting our local communities and many non-profits, sports teams and schools, as well as offering our employees the ability to earn additional PTO hours by volunteering. Read on to learn how Bluestone gets involved with the community.

Bluestone's Community Involvement

What is Bluestone’s Cooperative Culture?

Bluestone FCU has been a long-time supporter of the Sioux Falls Stampede. In 2023 we asked ourselves, “how can our sponsorship dollars not only support the Stampede, but also our community as a whole?” This led us to create Bluestone’s Cooperative Culture, an initiative together with the Stampede that shines a light on the many non-profits that make our communities better each day.

What is CARE Committee?

CARE Committee is made up of volunteer Bluestone and CU Mortgage employees that coordinate 4 employee volunteer events, Bake Sale, and Giving Tree. CARE stands for Community Actions Represent Encouragement.

What is 211 Tuesday?

We have partnered with Helpline Center to bring awareness to their services and opportunities. This partnership started back in August of 2024 to bring volunteering events to our members.
