Credit Union Opens Technology-led Branch in Sioux Falls
Bluestone Federal Credit Union’s New Microbranch Opens with Three ITMs, Helping Staff to Focus on More Complex Banking Needs
(SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA) – Bluestone Federal Credit Union has opened its new, westside branch. Known as a microbranch, this facility is built to maximize the financial services most people need within a smaller footprint. The branch has three Interactive Teller Machines, or ITM’s, which can complete most withdrawals and deposits, allowing staff to focus on member-service and their more complex banking needs.
“We are proud to offer our members a tech-forward space that provides speed, convenience, and smarter banking, all within a compact size. It is a reflection on our commitment to evolve with our members needs.” said Alayna Johnson, president of Bluestone Federal Credit Union. “Our goal with this microbranch is simple: to make everyday banking easier, more accessible, and more connected to the neighborhoods we call home.”
The microbranch, located at 6311 W. 41st Street, is across from Roosevelt High School and Kuehn Park. The branch is supported by an assistant branch manager and a member service representative, who will help members with services the ITMs cannot, like cashier’s checks and money orders, as well as help navigate the ITMs. A member service officer, who supports lending needs, is also available onsite. There are two ITMs inside the branch and one outside. Instead of a drive-thru window, transactions are serviced by this outdoor ITM. If support is needed, a click of a button will connect the person with a support person right on the ITM’s screen.
“We listened to member feedback to help deliver a branch experience that will work well into the future while still giving them the friendly experience they expect from Bluestone,” says Johnson. “We know our members value the relationship they have with our employees. Our staff know our members’ names, they understand their needs, and work hard to help each member achieve their financial needs, whether it’s securing a loan with lower interest rates or setting up a money market to build their savings, our team listens and supports.”
The W. 41st Street Microbranch is open Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm.
